you can also try, in IE:

TOOLS
Manage Ad-ons

and make sure that McAfee SiteAdvisor appears (alphabetically) under the ENABLED list

I just reset my IE to factory default and then it was back in my toolbar un checked.  I had to enable it then.  nNow I will have to reset everything and all of my favorites are gone but Mcafee is back..

no guarantee this will work but:

from the TOOLS, Manage Add-ons,

Highlight and DISABLE the McAfee.   i believe it will tell you the change will not take effect until after you restart IE.

close IE and reopen.

again from TOOLS, Manage Add-ons,
Highlight McAfee (which should now be on the DISABLED list) and ENABLE it.

close IE and reopen.

see if it's there now...

ky331,

It's in the add-ons and is enabled but it's not in the toolbars. How do I get it there?

Glad to hear your McAfee SiteAdvisor is finally back, but sorry to hear you had to lose all your customized settings and favorites in the process :smileysad:

I realize its too late now... and I don't understand why choosing the default IE settings (which should effect security settings) would erase your favorites... but for future reference [or for anyone else reading this thread],  you should have been able to save/restore your favorites using the Import & Export wizard, under the IE FILE menu.

one other thing i guess we can try,

under VIEW/TOOLBARS, UNcheck Lock the Toolbars (assuming it was checked).

Then try again that disable, re-enable from the Tools/Manage Add-ons.

if this still doesn't work, I'll have to "beg out" and hope someone else has more suggestions.
