I think they have something to do with your hybernation and swap files.
I would post this question in the WindowsXP forum for best results as we really only deal with Virus/Spyware problems.
If I knew that answer I would tell you.

I think you may be right. At first I wondered if they may be related to the Dos partition that Dell puts on the hd for its diagnostic program.
