PcCtlCom Module stopped working and was Closed
When I powered up my Inspiron 1720 this morning the above is what greeted me along with the contents:
'A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.'
In the meantime I am unable to UPDATE NOW my PC-cillin Internet Security. I can't even get my Trend Micro PC-cillin to open. I have rebooted several times but the same message comes up every time.

If in the lower left hand corner of your screen when you hover over the PC-Cillin icon it says loading then this is a somewhat common problem with Trend Micro?
To fix the problem you have to uninstall and reinstall the program. Amazingly, I also had this problem with Trend-Micro. First, try uninstall through the Add/Remove (XP) or the Programs (Vista). If this doesn't work you may have to force the uninstall (this was the method I had to do). To force the uninstall click on start/computer/Program Files/Trend Micro/then the version you have/PCCTool.
A box will open up. Then click on tab E and choose the uninstall tab. After it is uninstalled then reinstall the program.
I think this is related to an update causing some type of file corruption. I would recommend disconnecting from the internet prior to doing this.
