Here is the new hijackfile. The computer seems to be working better so far but I just got up and turned the computer on not long ago. But no pop-ups and it isnt slow anymore. Thank you so much!...Is there anything else I need to do??

You still have MyWay on your PC. This is installed by Dell but is considered AdWare. the uninstaller was broken on many systems. IF you want to get rid of it just close Internet Explorer and run HijackThis and check then Fix Checekd these:
This next one is from the latest Java but has been known to slow down Internet Explorer a lot on certain systems. Don't know why they decided they needed it because no earlier version had it but it doesn't seem to hurt anything to get rid of it if it is slowing down the system.

A few Recommendations.
You can delete any programs we had you install but leave Hijackthis for now. You can also run Hijackthis, View the List of Backups and Delete All. If we used killbox its backup files can be removed now too. Run Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups. If you have an antivirus, check its quarantined files and delete any it had found.
You should also definitely toggle System Restore Off and then back On.
Following site has very clear instructions for turning it off. To turn it back on you just repeat the instructions but uncheck the box where it says to Turn Off System Restore on all Drives.
The reason we do this is to remove any archived copies of the infection from System Restore so that if you have to use SYstem Restore to fix a problem you won't accidentally reinfect your system. The next link explains how to use System Restore to go back in time if you hit a bad site or get infected.
One way to make an infection more obvious is to check everything in your current HijackThis and Add to Ignore List then set up Hijackthis to run at boot and to show you if it finds anything new. You do this by None of the Above Just start the program, Config (Main) and then check the box in front of Run Hiajckthis at startup and show it when items are found. OK. Then if Hijackthis opens after a boot it will show you any new programs that have been added. You can then decide if you want to keep them or not. If in doubt you can google for the .exe or .dll file at the end of the entry and see if what other people think of it.
Make sure you have removed any older versions of Java or JRE with Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Updates do not remove the older versions which have exploitable flaws.
If you feel that Internet Explorer is running a bit slower after the latest Java update you can try checking this line and then Fix Checked.

It was added by the latest version of Java. We don't know why. Earlier versions did not have it. It has been proven to slow down connections on some systems and removing it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
If you are not running the latest version of Adobe you should consider updating. There are reports of a loophole for hackers in pre 7.03 versions.
As an alternative you can dump adobe completely and use fox-it instead:

hi here is my new hijackthis after your suggestions Ron. I tried a few times to remove one last dell adware the one numbered R0...but it wont go away...
also i did "remove program" on the older versions of java and looked for msjava,jre,j2re on the remove list but couldnt find anymore java other than the newer version. I didnt know if you were recommending that I remove the the two lines that suggested that I still have an older version of java or not so they are still there. I didn't know if maybe another older version is somewhere on my machine and I did not look in the right place. anywhere else I would see it rather than remove programs?

I ran the java virtual removal tool thing that you suggested to me to run. It asked me where to save the extracted files and I didn't know where I should put them so I created a folder on drive c for them. I didn't know if I was supposed to keep them or if I was to delete them. Is this virtual thing harmful to my computer? would hate to keep the file and find out it's bad.

Sorry, about the lack of instructions but I'd never run the program before. You can delete the folder if everything is working OK.
A little background on Virtual Machine. This was Microsoft's version of Java. They built it under license from Sun but then tried to make changes to it that Sun did not approve of. Anyway, there was a long court battle and Microsoft lost. Microsoft wasn't allowed to make any more changes - even security updates - and had to stop providing support back in 2004. So essentially VM is an old unpatched version of Java which has significant security holes which you do not want on your PC.
The MyWay program appears to be in the registry under the following number:
I downloaded reseeker as you suggeted. I tried to search for the registration number you told me to look for but it didnt find anything. I double checked the number and reran the search but still nothing. So I searched for the myway web url and it found 4 files I couldn't copy and paste so I wrote them down:
I selected all and clicked delete selected files and it asked if I was sure and I clicked yes but a message came up. "Erreur E/S 123" and it would not let me delete it. I tried several times with the same result.
I then tried ad-aware in safe mode as you suggested. It found a few files but not the myway. I looked on the negliable files there were a several files there (I couldnt tell if any of them were myway or not but it would not give me the option to check them off so that I could delete them.
I ran hijack this again and scaned and checked myway off again and clicked fix but it's still there..:(
So I dont know what to do...I dont know if this stuborn myway can be removed or not. If we can not remove it and it stays on my machine will it be harmful? I really appreciate all your help.

1) download and run Atribune's VundoFix, per directions here: http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=si_hijack&message.id=29584
2) if that fixes your WinAntiVirus problem, then follow directions (lower in the same thread) to update your JAVA.

Run HJT. click on DO A SYSTEM SCAN ONLY

Log looks pretty clean. Just a few minor issues.
You still have MyWay on your PC. This is installed by Dell but is considered AdWare. the uninstaller was broken on many systems. IF you want to get rid of it just close Internet Explorer and run HijackThis and check then Fix Checekd these:

One way to make an infection more obvious is to check everything in your current HijackThis and Add to Ignore List then set up Hijackthis to run at boot and to show you if it finds anything new. You do this by None of the Above Just start the program, Config (Main) and then check the box in front of Run Hiajckthis at startup and show it when items are found. OK. Then if Hijackthis opens after a boot it will show you any new programs that have been added. You can then decide if you want to keep them or not. If in doubt you can google for the .exe or .dll file at the end of the entry and see if what other people think of it.

It was added by the latest version of Java. We don't know why. Earlier versions did not have it. It has been proven to slow down connections on some systems and removing it doesn't seem to hurt anything.

hi here is my new hijackthis after your suggestions Ron. I tried a few times to remove one last dell adware the one numbered R0...but it wont go away...
also i did "remove program" on the older versions of java and looked for msjava,jre,j2re on the remove list but couldnt find anymore java other than the newer version. I didnt know if you were recommending that I remove the the two lines that suggested that I still have an older version of java or not so they are still there. I didn't know if maybe another older version is somewhere on my machine and I did not look in the right place. anywhere else I would see it rather than remove programs?

Hi Ron,
I ran the java virtual removal tool thing that you suggested to me to run. It asked me where to save the extracted files and I didn't know where I should put them so I created a folder on drive c for them. I didn't know if I was supposed to keep them or if I was to delete them. Is this virtual thing harmful to my computer? would hate to keep the file and find out it's bad.
