Go here and download the IST Toolbar removal tool from Symantec and follow the instructions on that page. When it's done, post back a new log and we'll see what it's be able to remove for us.

I did find something under add/remove prog. that was that ist thing!!! I removed it and it seemed to get rid of the stuff in the log, unless I just can't see it..

The log I posted was when the removing tool was done. It said it found nothing.

Ok, i'm surprised it didn't remove the memory resident that still running. Let's make sure it's not hiding elsewhere on your system:

Do a "Start | Search..." and search in all files and folder for:

*istsvc.exe*

If it finds anything in the 'prefetch' folder, manually remove it from there.

Now for the real test. Reboot your computer, surf around some, then post back a new log for final clearance.

If everything is clear, we'll need to do the following:

1.  Run "Disk Cleanup" and allow it to remove everything it finds.

2.  Run AdAware SE Personal and Spybot S&D and allow them to cleanup things that HiJackThis cannot see.

3.  Go to www.trendmicro.com and click "Free Online Scan". When it's down, select all available drives, then click "Scan".

4.  Disable, then re-enable system restore; with a reboot in-between. Then immediately create a new restore point manually.
