Do you have access to another pc that you could use to download a small program and load it onto the problem pc?

From the working pc

Go here and download Hijackthis

http://dsvs.org/5/HijackThis.exe

After you save the program transfer it to the problem pc by way of USB key ( some call it a memory stick)  Follow the directions below

Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\\HJT\\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents. Copy the text file (log) to the working pc and copy it AT THE LINK BELOW (The transfer of the HJT program and the text file should not represent any  virus risk to the working pc)

also include a description of the problem with your log

Please do not be tempted to "fix" on your own. Hijackthis is a very powerful tool, if used incorrectly can cause system problems
