You need to have the lastest veriosn of hijackthis - instructions below (Currently version 1.97.7) (if you have just got the one - please tell be from where so that we can get it updated.)
--------------------------------
A post of a hijackthis log for the experts to advise.
HijackThis From Here
or one of these other links:-
http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip
http://www.aluriasoftware.com/tools/hijackthis.zip
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. When you run HijackThis from this folder and have it "Fixed checked" it will create a backup file of modifications to use if restore is necessary. Then run, scan, save log, then in notepad copy the FULL log by copy and paste as a reply to this post and an expert with HijackThis Knowldge, will have a go at giving advice. Please note the list of experts names below, very few forum regulars here have had this training.

DO NOT FIX ANYTHING WITH HIJACKTHIS WITHOUT EXPERT ADVICE
, most of what it finds you need for normal MS Windows tasks.

Check these in hijackthis, AND WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, fix checked.

The following activeX controls will reinstall when(and if) you revisit that website, UNLESS you know they are from a safe source, check to remove.

Then Reboot to safe mode (F8 on boot) and delete the following files/folders:-

File > > C:\WINDOWS\System32\version.exe
Folder > C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\

Then Reboot and post a fresh log for me to check.

These two, I don't know, do you have any info on them, they may be a game or such that you have added.

Insure that 'show all files' is enabled as version.exe may be set to Hidden/System attributes:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2002092715262339?Open&src=&docid=2002103012571948&nsf=ent-security.nsf&view=docid&dtype=&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl=

I'd recommend removal of MyWay unless you really like it. It can be uninstalled via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and mybar.dll show up as "My Way Speed Bar" and mwssrcas.dll will show up as "My Search Bar" or "My Web Search".

http://www.winpatrol.com/db/freesample/mybar.html

Start HijackThis and tick the boxes next to all these, then close all browser and explorer windows, and tell HijackThis to "Fix checked".
