Problems with Virus burst.com

Question

I received a quick launch icon on my computer that I did not authorize, and now I can't get rid of it. I have tried right clicking, but it just launches to virus burst regarding their antimalware software. I need help removing it from my computer. Thanks, ang001

Go to here and download HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:\ drive at C:\HJT. After it is downloaded open the program and click Scan and Save to log. Post the log that it generates in the HiJackThisForum for analysis. thanks, ZB1

gospyware, your help always seems to direct users to the same site. How about giving them a choice?

If users do not want to post a HijackThis log on our forum for more thorough cleaning, here are a couple of other options:

I wanted to make sure that ZB1 got thanked. I didn't get hijack, but it took me to noadware. It's gone that is all I wanted. Thanks again.

You are welcome but I think the reason that Bugbatter asked that question is that Noadware is not one of the programs that we recommend.

It creates more problems than it is worth, and if I were you, I would have used the sites that were recommended to you by Bugbatter.

She had a reason for not recommending Noadware.
