actually, you had more success than you may have realized, as the trojan file iiffg.dll was deleted.

however, you also have a "different" version of WinFixer (the "installer")... so let's do the following next:

your log still shows some (non-critical) "remnants" of the trojan file, which we can easily remove now:

Run HiJackThis. Place a check-mark in the box in front of each of the lines:

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {8DBF02DA-4360-4A7E-BEA1-347B87816327} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\iiffg.dll (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: iiffg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\iiffg.dll (file missing)

Click on FIX CHECKED. Close HiJackThis. Reboot.

Run HiJackThis yet again. Hopefully, the two lines [the trojan file] we just deleted are still "gone". I'm gonna try for the "installer" next. This time, I want you to place a check-mark in the box in front of the line:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NI.UWFX5RS_0001_0808] "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\CONFLICT.2\UWFX5RS_0001_0808NetInstaller.exe"

Click on FIX CHECKED. Close HiJackThis. Reboot. [It's possible that HiJackThis may "choke"/crash when trying to fix this line....]

Run HiJackThis still one more time. Take a look to see if the line we just tried to delete [the O4- NetInstaller] is still there. If it's gone, we're done. But if it's still there, then you should reboot your system into SAFE MODE, and try to repeat the step we just went thru to delete this O4 line, but doing this in SAFE MODE. When done, reboot into NORMAL mode.

And then generate another log, and post this one here.

GREAT !   Just out of curiosity (so that I can better help people in the future), were you able to remove the O4-NetInstaller in normal mode?  or did it require safe mode?  [or did you just 'save time' by going directly into safe mode, bypassing the attempt in normal mode?]    did you encounter any problems/variations from the 'simple' removal directions I gave you?   at this point, i'm gonna have someone else step-in to determine additional problems (if any) that you might have.  please be patient, as we have a long way to go to catch-up on everyone.... so it may take a few days for the next helper to arrive.   good luck

All of the directions given were done in normal mode.  The only exception to this was when executing the first removal directions (your first post with the two approaches).  When trying Approach #2, I went into safe mode but ran into some problems as I was unable to get anything done (I was unable to see any desktop icons or use any functions like the start bar), and therefore unable to execute the removal directions in this mode.  I thereafter completed all other removal directions in normal mode.   Hope this helps
