The infected computer is running on Windows XP
Also, I believe I tried a memory stick before for putting HijackThis on the computer but the program wouldnt work because it wasn't installed on the other computer. Is there anyway then I guess to get a setup form of HijackThis to put on the other computer?

Do you have access to another computer so you can download and save a tool to a USB stick or CD? Then you could transfer it to the infected computer.

Let us know what operating system the infected machine is running so we can suggest a fix.

I'm not sure what you mean by this:

"I tried a memory stick before for putting HijackThis on the computer but the program wouldnt work because it wasn't installed on the other computer:

You may not need to use HijackThis if what Spybot found is the only variant of Smitfraud.

See if you can save this to a USB stick and install/run it on the infected computer:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Can that computer get online with a wired connection so we can do a follow-up scan on the HijackThis board?

Alright, I installed the program, everything went smoothly besides updating it because I don't have internet access. It saved a log and I rebooted and so far everything looks good, but the wireless internet is still bugged. I think that's a completely seperate problem however.

Nope, tried it, all internet is busted

Can you post the MBAM log here so I can see what was involved and how bad the infection was/is?

No need, I figured out why it didn't work. Apparently I was stupid before and deleted random registries because I didn't know how to fix the problem, so I found a winsock registry repairing program which fixed it up so its all working now. Thanks for helping
