What program is stcpm trying to run? Is it something you just installed?

I have no idea...how do i figure that out???

Do a search in your C drive for stcpm.exe. and it should show you where it is. You'll probably know what it's running by the names of the folders it's in.

In general, I would be careful in granting any unknown program access.
 
However, if you are associated with UCLA, they have a program by that name (STCPM) that checks to see whether you have all critical Windows Updates installed.
 
If this applies to your situation, then I wouldn't worry. Sorry, but I can't help with the recurrent popup problem- perhaps another NIS user can help.

If the file is located in your program files it's probably your UCLA software. If not, and if it's located in windows system or system32, you have the WIN32.RBOT Worm.

If you don't know how to check this, you should post a HijackThis log here.
