Task manager problem ~please HELP.

Hi, I have a problem in which when ever I hit ctl,alt+delete and click on the task manager the window opens and after 5 seconds it is gone.  It doesn't stay open!  I have run Norton, Adaware and Spybot - Search & Destroy and still does the same thing.

I think it has something to do with my aol IM since everytime I'm on it, it automatickly puts me on the away mode with a web-link on it(as the away message).

I have a Inspiron 8000 with windows 2000 professional.
