TouchPad Drivers – ETDCTRL.EXE

I have TouchPad Drivers – ETDCTRL.EXE that is in my start up programs. I don't  know when or how it came on board. I was wondering if I could delete it! Could I still use my touch pad. I use a mouse most of the time, but would still like to be able to use it. Any advise would be appreciated.
