Many updates require a restart. This particularly true if the has been an update to the
program rather than updating the
definition files. Have you tried a restart and does the message then come up again?
In the Control Panel, go to the Add or Remove Programs option.
I am having the same problem with PC-cillin - it keeps showing that my programs are out of date, I update them, restart, and then get the same out of date message again. I too have restarted about 20 times. I'm done with it. Assume I can download Symantec or MacAfee and be done with this...shouldn't be having this many problems with my new Dell Desktop.
I feel for ya & i agree. As soon as my mom buys McAfee i am uninstalling the Trend PC Anti Virus. What a pain in the you know what. Trend PC is garbage!
This may be due to the firewall in Trend causing the issue.
Try this..
go to computer- C:\program files-trend micro look for a application called PCTool.. run it.. you will see a tab called uninstall.. there you will find the uninstall the firewall.. uninstall and restart check to see if trend is still looping..
if it has stopped go back to the same application and run the install under the same tab. (it will say install firewall instead of uninstall.) again restart when prompted.
BTW of you want to uninstall it all you will find it there too... for the going to mcafee person.
