I had the same problem with constant update/reboot prompts. After running the initial update, I also lost several services (Personal Firewall, Real-time Network Virus Protection, and Wi-Fi Network Intrusion Detection). I had to uninstall and reinstall Trend several times AND use PCTools to uninstall just the firewall, and then reinstall the firewall. From what I could tell, there was a problem with the initial update patch.
Be sure to reboot after each uninstall and reinstall. It was a real PITA to get Trend running but, all appears well now...
This may be due to the firewall in Trend causing the issue.
Try this..
go to computer- C:\program files-trend micro look for a application called PCTool.. run it.. you will see a tab called uninstall.. there you will find the uninstall the firewall.. uninstall and restart check to see if trend is still looping..
if it has stopped go back to the same application and run the install under the same tab. (it will say install firewall instead of uninstall.) again restart when prompted.
