Trojan.Vundo in the object C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebcd.dll
Norton Antivirus has reported that it has detected a virus Trojan.Vundo on my computer in the object C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebcd.dll. It has already been one day since I've seen this. I've tried a lot of options. Dowloading the trojan.vundo removal tool from Symantec, it runs through and says that it can not find thr virus. I even turned of system restore for sometime and let Norton Antivirus run. Everytime it runs, it says it has cleaned it up and the message pops up again.I've even tried running the antivirus in safe mode. It didn't help either.
Please help

I have the exact same problem. but my file is C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddabx.dll. i don't know how to get rid of it. this norton anti-virus window keeps popping up and it won't go away. im looking for answers.

a few points:
1) you're in the HiJackThis log forum. in order for us to proceed here, you need to post your HiJackThis log.
2) if you choose to do so, please, only one person's log per thread. the first person who posted here, 'owns' this thread... the 2nd person needs to start a separate thread for his/her log.
it's likely that each of you have a WinFixer infection. see if the following information applies to you
