Using program

When I double click on the desktop shortcut for spyware guard, nothing happens, but when I right click on the spyware symbol by the clock, the program appears. What's going on?

the desktop shortcut just loads the program into memory, and places "SG" icon in your system tray (near the clock).    if the program is already loaded and running (i.e., if you already have the SG icon showing), there's nothing more for the desktop icon to do.

you can verify this by trying the following:   click on the SG icon in your system tray.   click on FILE, then EXIT.   this removes the program from memory, and removes the SG icon from your system tray.    now, if you were to click on the desktop icon, it will (re-)load the program into memory, and you'll get back the SG icon in the system tray.

clicking on the SG icon in the system tray is the way to access/see the program's user interface.

I tried that out, but still nothing happens. Is spyware guard designed to open with a desktop shortcut?
