verizon internet security suite

Question

I recently installed verizons new internet security suite.  The problem - when I change users ( log off or switch users) on windows xp it shuts the suite down.  I have two users, myself and my 10 year old son.   if I am on my side on the internet  (verizon dsl) on my son side if I switch over havung left his side logged in windows security  will ballon above the lower right tray saying the firewall and anti-virus is off.    If the verizon suite is on my side and I switch off and switch back in without going to my sons side the suite will still be on, but if I switch out  and switch in  to my sons side(not log in - just switch in) then switch out and switch into my site ,  the suite will be off on my side. the verizon suite seens very good in that its easy to use- it has a fire wall, anti virus, anti spywear, parental controls, password/form fill. It's 4.95 per month.  for me it's a lot of money but normally verizon support is very good and to have the anti-virus ect...a nd the internet provider (dsl)the same ....  on this one verizon is stumped and after hours more the once resulted in go to dell....demension 4400 but dell seems to have a new policy.   sell you a service contract to get you to call and be told it's not hardware so give them money.  -  If the problem is rooted in windows xp which came on the computer.   prior I used norton, microsoft anti spy which to me seemed very good , xp's firewall?  (zone alarm was to complicated for us)  adaware, spybot, spy doctor, spy blaster, spy guard- all the free stuff and was fine for a couple of years with my 10 yr old all over the net- rap and wrestling.  als anti stuff was cleared with verizon tech as part of the installation thank you.

Are you saying that you had the best (and mostly free) stuff already installed on your computer, and suddenly decided to substitute it with some verizon junk?

First delete that program it not that good.My friend had it on his computer and he had the same problem. And get norton internet security 2005 with anti-virus (norton is easy to use). Norton is alot better that verizon security.I have that program on all my computers. and reinstall ad aware and spybot the free version.

thank you for responding- yes, verizon internet security is terrible and it is gone. I found out with verizon dsl i could get msn premium for free which includes mcaffee anti virus and fire wall and that is what I did. I also downloaded microsoft anti-spywear . I am going to also download adaware. I'm not sure if I should download spybot also. I had nortons password manager but it's gone and now I think windows xp has one and I am thinking of trying that - it should be secure. I also have all microsofts automatic updates and service pack 2

windows firewall is not that good.It better to get a free firewall like zonealarm or some thing like Or get yourself Norton internet security or McAfee. not just windows firewall
