virus ?

i keep getting a red box that says warning! visiting this site may harm your computer!  this web site probably contains malicious software program, which can cause damage to your computer or perform actions without your permission.  your computer may be infected after visiting such web site.  we recommend you install (or activate) antivirus security software.  i do realize that visiting this site can cause harm to my computer.  then it gives me an option to continue unprotected or get security software.   when i click on get security software it takes me to a page for personal antivirus to sell me something for 59.95   this happens as soon as go to a website.  this is happening on my dell  XPS 410 desktop.  please help in anyway.  thank you

Do not click on any of those links. They will only lead you to bogus (rogue) anti-spyware sites, and infect your computer further.
