DUKE,

simply having those programs on your computer should NOT be causing you any problems.

however, running them is a different matter, as the blue screen is an expected result of the Atribune procedure.

yes, you should keep both around.   HJT is a very useful tool that can help analyze all kinds of virus/spyware problems.   and it wouldn't hurt to keep the VundoFix around, just in case you happen to get re-infected and need to re-run that procedure.

i just took another look at your HJT log.... we requested that you post a follow-up log... so that someone else (not me) could look for additional problems, if any, that you were still having.
(I'm only "specializing" in a handful of problems)
i suggest you do so, appending it to the thread where you posted your original log.

DUKE,

I see that you've posted your updated log in the proper location... and i can confirm that the VundoFix procedure successfully removed the bad WinFixer file.... have you noticed any difference in terms of the WinFixer popups?

as for the blue screen on shut down:   does it happen now EVERY time you try to shut down?   and if so, did this only start since the VundoFix, or had you experienced the problem (with the frequency) before the VundoFix?

i'm trying to call your log (and about 2 dozen others) to the attention of a colleague with whom i've been "collaborating" recently.   i'm assuming he was just away for the weekend.  (we're all volunteers here).   i'll do my best to make sure that he (or someone else) gets to your log.

i know it's frustrating, but please be patient.
