Hi SorryWereClosed,

Spylock is considered an undesirable program and part of the Smitfraud family of Trojans. I would recommend that you follow the procedures at the HijackThis board for posting a HijackThis log for one of the security experts to look at. They will also recommend some LEGITIMATE Antispyware products.
:smileyhappy:

Hi SorryWereClosed,

Not being able to see the properties by right clicking pretty much confirms that this is NOT legitimate. Please follow the link in my earlier post which will take you to the HijackThis board. Follow the instructions there and post a HijackThis log. Someone will assist you.

A little side note. Following a generic fix for something like Smitfraud is generally not a good idea. This particular piece of garbage adds new variants all the time. Sometimes it seems like it's almost daily. You are much better off having an expert guide you through a fix tailored to YOUR machine. Additionally, oftentimes there may be more than one infection present on your computer, which an expert will spot and help you remove.

Good luck
:)

@SorryWereClosed: Sorry about that. I usually test the links before I post them -- obviously I didn't do it with that one. :(

Thanks ddeerrff for posting a link that actually works LOL.
