reformatting your drive and/or reinstalling windows should only be done as an absolute last resort.   have you tried updating your anti-virus definitions, and running a COMPLETE system scan?  have you tried running an ONLINE anti-virus scanner (such as Trend Micro's)?   Have you considered trying HiJackThis analysis?

while i was waiting for a reply i was searching for all the 4100 stuff found spy sweeper from the same website. it is running right now it says that 2 adware were found quicklink search toolbar and cws about blank. also 1 trojan found trojan-downloader-perlink.biz. so far it's only searched 610 out of 110,000. should i cancel the spy sweeper and load the software you suggested ?

frankie,

if you've made up your mind to go the format/reinstall route, i believe you should post the question here:

however, keep in mind that, unless you determine the SOURCE(S) of your virus/spyware problem(s), it's entirely possible that, after the reinstall, you may just wind-up doing some of the same things that got you infected in the first place.

you may have stopped it's scan already, but SpySweeper (I assume you're talking about the product from WebRoot) has an excellent reputation.
