Download [but do *NOT* yet run] FixVundo from
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixVundo.exe
[we'll have you run it later]
Note: If you have previously download this file on another occasion, please download it again, to be absolutely sure you have the most current version.
********************
Next, download VirtumundoBeGone from:
http://secured2k.home.comcast.net/tools/VirtumundoBeGone.exe
* Save it to your Desktop
* Close all running programs (including your Internet Browser)
* Double-click VirtumundoBeGone.exe on the desktop
* Follow the directions as indicated
please be advised that this program will generate a "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH"... this is an expected/necessary part of the process, so don't be surprised when it happens.
just reboot if your system "jams"*********************
After rebooting, it's now time to run FixVundo (which you had downloaded earlier).
Make sure all other programs, including your Internet Browser, are closed.
Double-click the FixVundo.exe file to start the removal tool.
Click Start to begin the process, and then allow this tool to run.
Important: Do not launch any new applications while the tool is running!
Reboot your computer.
Run the FixVundo removal tool again to ensure that the system is clean.
*********************
It's now time to report back to us:
VirtumundoBeGone generated a "log" file of its own, which it should have placed on your Desktop... please REPLY to this thread, and copy/paste the VirtumundoBeGone log back here, along with your latest HJT log.
****************
[P.S. You also have a Morwillsearch Browser Hijacker, which will still have to be taken care of...]

Nice work. Looks like VirtumondeBeGone successfully deactivated the bad WinFixer file. Have you noticed any difference, in terms of WinFixer popups, and overall system speed/performance?
Could you please generate and REPLY to post your latest/updated HiJackThis log?

Looking good, as far WinFixer/Vundo is concerned.
Next, i'm gonna help you with some minor touch-ups [concerning non-existent files]:
Run HiJackThis. Place a check-mark in the box in front of each of the lines:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: hardcmd - C:\WINDOWS\repair\hardcmd.dll (file missing)
Click on FIX CHECKED. Close HiJackThis. Reboot. And then generate/post another log.
At that point, I'm gonna try to ask someone else to step-in, to determine additional problems (if any) that you might have. Please be advised that we're very "understaffed" at the moment, so I can't make any guarantee as to when (or even if) the next helper will arrive.
Good luck.

Your log is looking great... :) Just have one entry to remove, one question to answer, and one recommendation from me...
Question - Can you tell me anything about this entry below...cannot find any info on it...
O4 - Startup: Biblequotes.lnk = C:\BibleQuotes\BibleQuotes.exe
Recommendation - Sun Java - I know you have Sun Java installed but unfortunately I cannot tell what verion you have. The latest is 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_05-b05). If your version is not the latest then I recommend you uninstall your old version using " Add or Remove Programs" then use the following link and either use the Windows (Online Installation) or Windows (Offline Installation) method. The reason why you have to uninstall the old version is that the new verion does not update the old version it just installs into a new location so if you go into your " Add or Remove Programs" you would see both versions listed.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Step 1.
==========
- Close all Windows and programs
- Run HijackThis...
- Select\check the following entries, Double-check to make sure that only these entries are checked...
O2 - BHO: Bho - {BFFA51A0-0B64-4aa3-AAC4-325F9338D0BE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\sdriueod.dll
- Click the " Fix checked" button...
- Close HijackThis
Step 2.
==========
Delete the following File(s) in BOLD only. (Note: Don't be concern if can't find but advise if not found)
File(s)...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ sdriueod.dll <<<= Delete This File
Step 3.
==========
- Post back a fresh new HijackThis log

No problem...glad to help out... :)
Many "Nasties" exploit old software as they have "security holes" in them. Winfixer\Vundo is actually one of the Nasties that is believed to have exploited these "holes" in Sun Java. Upgrading ones software is not always required but as far as Sun Java goes I always update when a new upgrade has come out so yes I would uninstall your old version and install the new.
__________________________________________________________________________
I can find nothing bad listed so I'm also posting my standard {All Clean} speech below. It has good information and some recommended tools (Recommended by all who deal with Spyware Nasties). Tools like SpywareBlaster => SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs. Definitley recommended!!
____________________________________
Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Managing Windows Millenium System Restore or Windows XP System Restore Guide
Renable system restore with instructions from tutorial above
Virus, Spyware, and Malware Protection and Removal Resources
Understanding and Using Firewalls
Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware , Malware, and Hijackers
Using Ad-aware to remove Spyware, Malware, & Hijackers from Your Computer
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware
Using IE-Spyad to enhance your privacy and security
Download and Install instructions
Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically.
Glad I was able to help
Take care and Safe surfing... :)
