Winfixer Removal

Question

Good Morning  I spent 6 hours trying to get rid of this bugger.  I have run HJT, Spybot Search&Destroy Lavasoft Adware and I tried VirtumundoBeGone and FixVundo.  I have done this in the safe mode and still  I can't be this thing. I have not down loaded it, just get pop ups and when I close them it knocks me off line!  Please help! May I post my HJT log to see where this thing is coming from?  Please help!   Thanks,   dc mom

the way i got past this winfix thing, stopped using Internet Explorer and started using Mozilla Firefox. and i never looked back. even now, if i start IE i get the winfix nonsense, and no problems with Firefox. i recommend the change.good luck

Please try downloading the new version of VirtumundoBeGone (v1.5) and using it. Please post the contents of the VBG.TXT log file which will be located on your desktop.   http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=57049
