SRM5 & Inyo - Error - Failed to create snapshots of replica devices. SRA command 'testFailoverStart' didn't return a response
Hello All,
I'm having some issues setting up my SRM5 Lab, here is my config:
- VNX5300 (flare 05.32.000.5.006) - production site
- VNX5700 (flare 05.32.000.5.006) - DRsite
enablers:
- VNXSnapshots
- UnisphereBlock
- Snapview
- Mirrorview/S
VMware
- esx 5i 496512 * 2
- VCVA *
- SQL databases....
- SRM5
SRA's:
- EMC VNX Replicator for VNX SRA 5.0.12
- EMC Mirrorview Enabler for VNX 5.0.22
- EMC VNX SRA for VMware vCenter SRM 5 5.0.1
- Navisphere cli 7.31.33.0.41
- VSI 5.0.0
- Solutions Enabler 7.2.1 (I know this is not needed, however it is installed as part of VSI?)
Setup:
- Mirrorview working (Ok?)
- Array Pairs Enabled (both sites)
- Protection Group setup OK.
here is my issue = Recovery plan test fails:

We managed to fix this, errors seen in TRiiAGE_full_Analysis
Snaps not working:
A 09/02/12 07:54:45 SnapCopy 71008031 You must add LUNs with adequate capacity to the Reserved LUN Pool before you can use this feature.
A 09/02/12 07:54:46 4600 '' called by 'admin' (10.64.29.93) on 'Navi_SnapCopyFeature' with result: Failure (Could not start SnapView session. Session name - sync-0_SRM-TEST-FAILOVER_session. You must add LUNs with adequate capacity to the Reserved LUN Pool before you
A 09/02/12 07:54:46 NaviCimom 71008031 Failing Command: K10SnapCopyAdmin DBid 0 Op 1038.
Fix: Create reserve lun pool
Test failover now working as expected.
I did not have to manually create any snaps with particular names as listed above, seems SRM 5 and new SRA’s do all of this.

Seems to be the space in the LUNs, apparently for TEST environments you'll need:
ie:
Protected Site DR Site
10GB == 20GB
for DR environment:
ie:
Protected Site DR Site
10GB == 10GB
I'm running the same problem. but I'm gona try this, and I let you know.

Hmm, I’m thinking this might be something to do with inyo.
Snapshots have changed for inyo, there is a new enabler VNXSnapshots
Possibly a reason for the “testFailoverStart” errors???
I have a lot of free space on both sites:

Correct me if I am wrong but this URL deals with the MV enabler for SRA not the SRA installer.
As far as I understand, the MV enabler for SRA and the SRA installer are 2 separate software to install.
Can someone clarirfy please?
TIA
