Data migration from file- to block- storage

Question

Hello All, I'd like to ask for your support with regards to data migration from file-storage to block-storage. We have a VNX5500 File-Storage and there is an idea to migrate this data to the brand-new VNX8000 Block-Storage for the consolidation reason. Would you be so kind to advise how to perform such a migrations, to wit: (a) which aspects to consider? (b) which tools (if any) to use? and so on? Thank you!

Since your destination is a non-NAS system there is nothing EMC special there Just use the regular tools depending on your destination OS - like robocopy/emcopy/... for Windows or rsync for Unity
