(at) symbol not working

Hi, I have a Vostro 14, 5000 series and my (at) key is not working. The key itself is but just not that symbol. Im not having any trouble with any other keys.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue.

ckavanagh1,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to make sure that the keyboard language is set to United States.
- Go to Control Panel then click Region and Language.
- Once open click on Keyboards and Languages then click on Change keyboards and make sure it's set to United States.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Keyboard driver then reboot your PC and it should reinstall automatically.
- Test it again after the reboot and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- If it does, connect an external USB keyboard and if will work normally that means the problem is the "2" key.
- Your last option is to reinstall Windows and if it will not work the only solution would be to replace the entire keyboard.

Hello, I know this is a little late but may I ask a question on how you switch which symbols are set to which keys? I have a Dell laptop that doesn't have a side keypad and the only way to write my "@" symbols are by pressing "shift" and the comma key.

In short, my quotation mark key and my @ symbol key have switched places, as whenever I press shift and press 2, I get the quotation mark symbol and vice versa. This is very inconvenient when writing and signing in on my e-mail so I would like to know how to fix it.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you can answer back soon.
