@U2CAMEB4ME is spot on that the exact model number is required to properly offer assistance.
Generally the bracket slides down and over the top of the point where you have the tip of your screwdriver. It takes a bit of a push to slide the bracket out of the 2230 position. So can you not slide the bracket downward at all?
Thanks @JOcean , @U2CAMEB4ME for ensuring that it should slide out somehow. I was able to remove it in the end.
My difficulty was that it was somehow too tight in spots that I encircled with lime - had to put a screwdriver under them to release them. Also I wasn't sure if the red spot is fixated as well to the hole underneath it - turns out surface is flat from below. So in the end it did slide out.
