DELL Vostro 3446 ERROR CODE in testing in hard drive
Sometimes my laptop freezes in current operation like everything stuck in current window and not able to open any other windows even Control-alt-delete also not works.. its takes around 5 to 10 min to normal … so I opened the task manager and checked the CPU , Memory usage they both fine whenever my laptop stuck the disk usage is 100 percent … i randomly searched in dell community and i found we can diagnostics our system by System Assessment (ePSA) so i run the tests for every hardware component and it shows all components are passed expect the hard drive and i found this error message on screen
Hard Drive 0- S/N S31 4JBOG138523. Short self test unsuccessful.

seeing thismessage with QR code i visit dell.com/diagnostics to see the issue what i found my about hard drive with test results in below image ....
after scanning QR code the test results
as the test shows my hard drive got failure what if i purchase new one ? which one i should take HDD or SSD to prevent the these types of problems in future ...

If the system is under warranty, contact Dell support with the error and validation code and they'll replace the drive.
If the system is out of warranty, you will need a new drive to replace the one that has failed. This model takes only 2.5" SATA drives - it may be a good time to replace the failed hard drive with a solid state drive. If the budget won't stretch that far and you must buy a replacement hard drive, Western Digital and Toshiba both make reputable drives. The Seagate you have is the one to avoid at all costs given its reputation for unreliability.
