No Audio Output Device is installed
Recently, I have an update for my Dell Vostro 7580 (well, it forced me to update like shut down and update or restart and update). After the update, somehow I could not turn the speaker on and it keeps saying 'No Audio Output Device is installed'. I did try troubleshooting it but nothing worked. I did Google it and tried to update or even uninstalled the re installed the speaker in control panel (device manager). I downloaded the sound driver again for my laptop on dell support website. It did work for 5 mins then the 'No Audio Output Device is installed' was back.
I did even reset my laptop and erased everything in control panel but It did not work either.

The system update. You know when they ask you to update before restart or shut down the laptop

If it is a Windows update, roll it back and see if it solves your problem.
