Vostro 3500 disk partitioning

Question

Hello, We just received brand new Vostro 3500 (480GB SSD, 8GB RAM, I5-1135G7), and I have some questions about the default disk partitioning. I want to create a dual boot with Windows/Linux, but I don't want to make a mess with the partitions. My questions are the following: What are the two last partitions? It looks like recovery partitions, is it possible to remove them? If I remove the two last partitions, is it possible to move the 990MB one at the en of the disk, extending the C:/ partition? The 990MB partition is the WINRETOOLS partition, I think it is better to keep it (and it is not that large) Is it safe to shrink C: and put the Linux partition between C: and the WINRETOOLS partition? I also think about adding another SDD in the laptop (for Linux only, avoiding the partitioning issue): Does the Vostro 3500 have an additional space for it? PierreOlivier,

You should not remove the recovery partitions because they are needed to fix corrupted OS issues. Also, do not remove the WINRETOOLS. Our information is limited on Linux support. You may want to ask the Linux Community.

2.5 in. 5400 RPM, SATA hard drive
M.2 2230/2280 for solid-state drive
