Vostro 7620 Nvidia crashes
Got a frustrating problem. Whenever Win11 updates, I frequently get Video_Dxgkrnl_Fatal_Error. I would have to wait for Dell to cycle 3 times before going into safe mode, turn off the Nvidia in device manager, boot into regular Win11, download the latest Nvidia driver, and it works until the next minor Win 11 update. This is getting tiresome.
I have already done sfc which shows no issue. I did the drastic option of installing a fresh copy of Windows 11 Pro which immediately goes into kernal error unless I update the nvidia driver. This was also occurring on the previous mobo and got a new mobo replaced and still occurring.
1. Is there a real solution for this?
2. Is there a way to turn off the Nvidia card through BIOS? I couldn't find the setting unlike my old Dell laptop. It's a pain to try to turn it off in Device Manager.
