Session login hangs when connecting trough HTML5

Question

Wyse vWorkspace 8.5 introduces a the ability to connect via a HTML5 capable browser without any configuration needed, neither on the endpoint nor the managed application. The translation from RDP to HTML5 is seamlessly processed on the Web Access Server. If the logon to an application or desktop fails, and the browser just sits there showing the connection bar with a black background or a logon screen like shown in the Picture below, make sure RemoteFX is disabled on the RDSH Server or the hosted virtual Desktop. This restriction is specifically called out in the Product Release notes of vWorkspace 8.5, and it might be overseen if an existing environment is upgraded where RemoteFX is already enabled to be used with native vWorkspace connectors.

I also noticed, at least for me it happened, it you have your Web Access Server on Windows 2008R2 and then upgrade to vWorkspace 8.5 and then upgrade to Server 2012R2 I get an exception when adding new websites and when launching a remote desktop with HTML5, I get a connection error.

With a fresh install of Server 2012R2 and vWorkspace 8.5 Web Access Server, all works as it should.
