VxRail 8.0.x Resources:

The VxRail 8.0.000 Composite Upgrade bundle was released on January 6, 2023. 

From a VxRail perspective, a major highlight is support for vSphere 8. Additionally, two new deployment options are available which include using SmartDPUs and support and vSAN 2 i.e. the Express Storage Architecture (ESA). The vSAN architecture used in VxRail 4.5, 4.7, 7.x is now referred to as the Original Storage Architecture (OSA). VxRail 8.0.x will be offered with OSA or ESA. ESA is only available on all NVMe nodes using Ethernet switches having 25 GigE ports at a minimum, among other requirements. At this time, a deployment cannot be converted from OSA to ESA, it is a greenfield offering.
