VxRail certification status; in progress

Hi All

I hope that you are all well.

I have completed the DES-6321 Specialist-Implementation Engineer, VxRail Appliance Exam, in 2021.

My certification show in progress and that I must complete one of the following exams:
1. Associate-Cloud Infrastructure and Services Version 3.0 (DCA-CIS)
2. Associate-Converged Systems and Hybrid Cloud Version 1.0 (DCA)
3. Associate-Converged Systems and Hybrid Cloud Version 2.0 (DCA)

I emailed the Education Services and they replied:

"This Certification is no longer attainable. The Certification is now at version 2.0. The DES-6321 exam was replaced on June 10, 2021 and the DEA-2TT3 Associate - Cloud Infrastructure and Services v3 Exam (which was the Associate level requirement at that time) retired on October 28, 2022. It is recommended that all requirements be completed around the same time as Certifications do get updated."

Kindly please advise, what exam I must complete to complete the exam certification??

What about DEA-2TT4-Associate-Cloud Infrastructure and Services Version 4.0??

Your help will be appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

Hello - this Certification is no longer able to be earned as all the exams that were required have retired. If you would like you can take a look at the new Certification Framework which has VxRail Certifications. Please visit the education portal to learn more.

Greetings,

Per the certification team's response, I suggest following the updated track. While they can be completed in any order, both the "Associate" level and "Specialist" level exams within a given track must both be passed to achieve a "Specialist" level certification in the current certification framework.

The new certification framework which will be rolled out throughout 2023 on a topic-by-topic basis will be a bit different.

In the meantime, I suggest reviewing the Exam Description to get started. Dell will be moving to the Dell VxRail Deploy 2023 (exam D-VXR-DY-23) in the upcoming months. So, you have a decision to make:

  1. Take the current (soon to be old) VxRail Implementation Engineer DES-6322 exam by June 23, 2023 and follow the related track, or...
  2. Wait for the upcoming Dell VxRail Deploy 2023 D-VXR-DY-23 exam.

What would I do? I would wait for the upcoming Dell VxRail Deploy 2023 certification (exam D-VXR-DY-23). Then review the updated exam description and related assets. Why? We are so close to the cut-off for the VxRail Implementation Engineer DES-6322 exam.

I'll post an update once details for the new VxRail certifications and their exam descriptions become fully available.

Greetings,

To answer your question, the DCA-CIS exam which addresses the Associate level certification requirement needs to be completed.

To review, if the goal is to take the DES-6332 exam before June 23, 2023, for a Specialist level VxRail Implementation Engineer, below is what should be done:

  1. Complete the DCA-CIS exam which addresses the Associate level requirement for the VxRail Implementation Engineer Specialist level certification. Consult the Associate level Exam Description for details. The DCA-CIS exam is supported by taking any one of the following courses:  DellRobertH_1-1686839962454.png
  2. Complete the DES-6332 exam before June 23, 2023. Consult the Exam Description for details. The DES-6332 exam is supported by taking the following courses: DellRobertH_2-1686840666933.pngDellRobertH_3-1686840684192.png

The Associate level certification would ultimately need to be completed to receive Specialist level certification.

Greetings,

Please consult page 4 of the Certification Framework for details. A screenshot of the applicable section is below. If expiry of a certification exam is imminent, it will be described in the Exam Description for a given exam. For general Dell Proven Professional Certification questions, please post to the Dell Proven Professional board

Dear Robert

Thank you.

I see ISMv5 is a required exam for DES-1241.

Thank you very much.

Hi

Thank you for the info.

Thank you, I don’t have much option but to wait for the new training/exams.

Only problem I am having is I got a voucher which expires 26 June 2023, and I would like to use it.

Doing the DES-6332 which expires 23 June 2023, will not be an option,  as it also needs a required exam .

I was also preparing for PowerStore, but got a bit lost with all the different vendor exams I am busy with.

1 - What is the entry exam for PowerStore, that will not expire soon?

2 - Is the DES-1241 Specialist-Platform Engineer, PowerStore Exam still good for time before it expires?

I have done the ISMV4, which I see one of the required exam for DES-1241.

I want to use the voucher to book an exam that I can do later in this year

Thank you for all the help, appreciated!
