64 bit Operating System
Hi
I have a XPS M1710 4GB machine with a Intel T7600 Processor
and would like to know if a Microsoft Windows 64bit OS will run on it without any problems

Yes it will and you can go HERE to get the Drivers

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
To see if your system can run the 64 bit OS follow these steps to verify.
Start-Contorl Panel-System and Maintenance-Performance Information and Tools-View and Print Details-In the system information section you will notice 64-bit capable and will have YES next to it if your system is capable of running the 64-Bit OS.

Mantari,
I cannot find that information in XP. You can install a 64-bit OS on this system. Davet50 provided a link to download the 64-bit Vista Drivers for your system in his post below.

Could you clear up a doubt I still have?
I thought a 64bit OS could only work on a 64bit processor and I'm surprised you said I could use it with my system.
If you have a moment, could you try to explain it

Actually since my last post I have found the following application which checks to see if you can run a 64bit operation system
