“A required CD\DVD drive device driver is missing” error when installing Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Vista

Trying to reinstall Win7 64 on Precision m6600 after RAID 0 array failed. I recreated the array, popped a Win7 installation disk in the drive. At some point during the installation, I get the error message above. I've reinstalled Win7 on this machine before and never got this issue. The only change was a new RAID array. I went through all the (possible) steps in

www.dell.com/.../EN

without any luck. It says to provide the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise driver and Management Console drivers to the Windows installer. The problem is that the first driver only provides an installer suitable for an already installed Win environment. The drivers themselves are embedded in the installer and not accessible.

Hmm...well it can't be the ISO, as I've used it elsewhere, but always mounted rather than burned to a DVD. Perhaps that's where the issue is. Thx.
