Accessing the Control Panel problem
I have searched the forum but find no answer for this problem. When I click on control panel all the icons disappear and then reappear and I never can open the control panel.
Also, when I click on Start>turn computer off.....it doesn't shut down. It acts like its going to but doesn't. If I click on them again it shuts down. Any suggesstions? Thanks

You should do a virus scan as soon as possible, here are some you can run from the web
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hou.../start_corp.asp Make sure you tick Auto Clean.
http://www.pandasoftware.com/active...n_principal.htm
Make sure you tick Disinfect automatically under Scan Options.

Hey,
Trend Micro came up with nothing.
I just did the Panda scan and found 78 things, mostly spyware. I haven't fixed them yet but it looks like they are in System Restore...lol.
You're cool! Thanks

I personally turn off system resore on my PC's, I have yet to read on most forums where this feature ever helped anyone. It is a memory and resource hog, just my opinion. You can clear these files by turing system restore off (wait a minute) then on again, on my computer icon, right click properties, then system restore tab. More here

Moon,
What are all of these? I have 78 of them. Panda found them. I have been doing a lot of system restoring trying to fix this problem. Is this where my problem is?
I mean I think I know what they are but is there an easy way to get rid of them? Thanks.....again.:smileyhappy:

Moon,
I run Spybot and Adaware and Microsoft's anti-spyware thingy and they always show nothing.

I turned off System Restore and hopefully it's all deleted. Then I downloaded TrojanHunter and it found "imloader.exe" in my Downloaded Program files.
Thank you so much for all of your help!
