Acrobat Elements - reinstall problem, missing file

When I upgraded to the new version of Acrobat Reader, my pre-installed version of Acrobat Elements quit working (I can't create *.pdf files anymore).  When I tried to reintall Elements using the disc I received from Dell, the program says "Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files" and specifically mentions the file name ACROELE6.msi.  Does anyone know how to successfully reinstall Elements?

Hi.  You may have caused a program conflict by installing the latest version of Acrobat Reader without removing the previous version first.  I suggest you try removing ALL versions of Reader.  Now install elements and then Reader.  If you are able, before doing this, revert to a previous time before you installed the latest version of Adobe Reader when elements worked.  Remove Reader and then download the latest version from www.adobe.com/downloads.  There is a malicious download that pretends to be Adobe Reader but isn't that you may have installed.  It is blocked by Spy Sweeper and other spy removers.

Missing file (acroele6.msi)
look on the cd for the file Acrobat Elements 6.0.msi and rename it, then put all the file on the cd and install it.
