You might want to see if McAfee is the problem for you. Uninstall, reboot and try this 'free' suite.

Thanks. I sent an inquiry to them about my inability to download and in case its not McAfee thats causing the problem what would they recommend. I like the idea of one free year! (Is CA the company where the CFO's were nailed for fraud of various desriptions trecently?) I have a new problem...I'm  sent to an Error Assistant Page when clicking on certain websites with a message that says "unble to find page etc" and a directory page with hits that match some of the words in the title of my desired page. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I believe you are correct about CA but if you're looking for ethics in business...

Wow! So many trails to follow! I'm really thankful for all this info! If I understand the link you sent me to, I can delete the Google toolbar and solve the problem?

I'm not sure what you're referring to. I clicked on the link with IE and couldn't get the page. Are you using NS ?

In any case AdAware will cure your problem; it does sound Google-related. You should see what they have in their Gmail. They could blackmail the world with all the cached pages they have. I would remove all 3rd-party toolbars.
