Adobe Reader 6
With IE6 SP2: If I click on a link that requires Adobe Reader, it reads "done", but nothing displays.
If I click on the same link within IE, but "save as": It downloads to my desktop and when I click on the download, Adobe opens correctly
If I click on the same link with FireFox: The link works fine and Adobe displays the link correctly.
Is the an IE setting I need to change, or what?
Thanks

I don't have firefox, only IE. Is Firefox your default browser? If so, maybe Adobe reader plug in is linked to it rather than IE (although I would think it ought to work for both)?
Check in Adobe reader, preferences, internet, that you have all the boxes checked.
IE does sometimes take a long time before it displays the pdf file, as it tends to download the lot before showing anything.

IE is my default browser. I only noticed this problem after installing SP2. I guess I'll have to start searching through Adobe and MS to see if there's a fix.
Thanks.

Adobe contains two places in its Preferences that deal with how long it takes to open a file, and how (or where) it opens. Is this what you wish to control?

zool,
No.
My problem is: With IE, when I click on a link that needs Adobe, nothing happens.
If I click on the same link with FireFox, Adobe displays the link ok.
If I "save as" the link within IE and click on the saved file, it opens ok. There must be a new setting in IE (SP2) that I have to change, since I never had the problem until SP2.
