I found (unless it's a coincidence) that my having "Active Scripting" disabled in Tools--Internet Options--Security--custom-- and tick "disable" for active scripting cuts down on some banner ads, and I don't hear audio ads in AIM.

P.S. Put sites that require active scripting (Such as Dell) in your "Trusted Zones"
Then they will work.

You may want to try this too, get the one for the version you have . click help> about> write the version down. You will not have the ad's either.

I got the AIM ad-blocker for my version from that site.  It did the trick EXCEPT for those audio ads.  I have yet to find anything that gets rid of those pesky audio ads.

If I could convince my Dad to get rid of AIM, well actually AOL, AIM would be history in a heart beat.

If anyone finds a way to rid us of the audio ads, please post back A.S.A.P

I have Deadaim 4.1. The audio ads still come through if I have active scripting enabled.
