all periph are not accessible

Question

Hello,   I have a problem with a Dimension L (Windows 2000 Pro). When I insert a valid floppy (tested with an other pc), I have the message 'a:\ is not accessible' When I insert a CD in the internal Cdrom, I have the message 'd:\ is not accessible' Same message when I try to read un USB key or when I insert a CD in an external CD-Writer (connected on an USB port)   I have try to uninstall and reinstall the floppy drive but the message is always here. W2000 indicates that the floppy drive and Cdrom function correctly o_O No ressource conflict. No virus was found by Norton.   So what's happened with this Pc? Does somebody have an idea?

Here's some info I found on google answers:   http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=408402   Not sure if it applies to you, but the issue can sometimes be due to Roxio or InCD being installed/removed. If you have installed this software recently, you may need to remove it, or if you attempted to remove the software, you may need to check and insure the software is actually removed.
