I believe Sonic is the name of software for Sony music players. Do you or does anyone who uses the computer, have a Sony music player?

If no one does, you can try going to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and remove whatever is left of it.

If someone does indeed have a Sony music player, use the Sonic CD it came with to fix the installation.

sonic record now is your encoding software for burnig cds or dvds.... if you have a new system and you did not receive any CDs from dell call thier tech support dept. 18008228965
ask for the sonic disc and the media kit.
 
they should send it to you for free

Sonic is your burning software, not encoding nor does it have anything to do with Sony.

sonic record now is your burning software. its also considered an encoding software because you can encode AVI to DVD. you need it because this software contains the codecs you need to burn media
