Are memory chips 'standarized'-----
from one manufacturer to another? Would a 32MB 4X64—PC100/S 168 pin DIMM be the same, no matter who the manufacturer was, and work in any computer, Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc? Are they standarized like a 60 watt light bulb will work in any light fixture regardless the manufacture?
