ati help. Please.... let me explain
Hi, my computer regually crashes and gives the message 'your display driver has stopped working properlly'. Then i have to restart. But it doesnt restart, it goes to a blue error screen saying my ati2dvaa file is causing it. On that screen it says ' it got stuck in aninfinite loop'.
Ive been trying to resolve this through help from others but i cant do it. If i go to ati.com and download a driver, it wont let me install it. Ive tried loads. Ive gone to system-hardware-display adapter-driver-driver update, and it installed new driver but problem isnt fixed.
I even lost four years of photos etc on my computer because i reinstalled windows to try fix the problem and didnt save anything. but the problem carries on.
What info do you need to help, if you can?
the display adapter is Rage 128pro ultra gl AGP.
dell 4600
windows xp sp2
Please any ideas would be very welcomed.

Select the driver that matches the model of video card you have.
No it will replace it the driver during install, but you can remove the old one first if desired..
