Audio driver error..soundmax for dimension 3000

Question

Dimension 3000- Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio.. My audio driver has been giving issues for a while n even reinstalled entire hard drive too.. After reinstall i get this error even when i havnt installed any software yet.. Installation that looks like image below, saying hard drive doesnt support??!!

Also have a que about port 135, is there a chance anyone can get in my system or NT thru this port. It says in my firewall connections that this is open n i cant close the connection. Port 135 Open(epmap) listening.. what does that mean n can it b related to my audio driver messup..? thanks.. swtangel!

When you reinstalled, if you didn't install the Intel chipset drivers before attempting to install device drivers such as the sound, the sound will not be found.   HERE is the chipset drivers.   For future reference the install sequence for a 'clean' install is (1) Install Windows (2) Install chipset drivers (3) install device drivers such as sound.

Rightnow my problem is its not allowing me to install chipset too n was giving me this error msg.. Could it b mishap with installsheid itself..
