I have AutoCad 2002 on Inspiron.  I do not fully understand your question but I would like to help you if I can.  Could you please explain your problem a bit more?

when i move the cursor it let a trail on the screen.
I have to regen and when i move it again the trail come back.
I can't do anything.
This issue dissapear if i set video acceleration to NONE
not a solution.

If you don't experience this problem tell me how you did it because there is a lot of posts about it and Ati recognize thi issue (maybe you don't have an ATI card).

OK, I do not have the ATI Card.  I have  Nvidia 64 MB Geforce4.  I take it that your screen rewrites are messed up.  Can you change your refresh rate or go to 16/32 bit color instead of 64 bit....or even check to see in your mouse config if you have it set up for trails...

Sorry that I can not "really" help you,

Russ

The more I read about this fault, the more I realise Dell are a bunch of cowboys.  Purchased a not so Smart 250N with Ati Mobility M6 etc. get exactly the same faults with AutoCAD 2002 and Spider Solitaire.  Dell did the usual, it's AutoCAD, it's XP, etc.  Contacted Microsoft who did a system check specifying fault is the video driver.  Dell have sent me numerous driver updates for the whole lot and all fail to update as current driver is the most up-to-date.  Dell have now collected and sent for repair saying it's the motherboard.  Yesterday they said it's repaired...yippieee... and being shipped to me today, but todays latest installment is they lied and they are now putting in a 3rd motherboard.  If this fails they will strip down completely and rebuild.  I doubt that they will cure without a new driver being created.  As this is my first time using a message board could someone take the gauntlet and we can collectively bombard Dell with emails requesting they address this issue as a top priority and stop treating customers so poorly.

I have the same problem with the Smart PC.

Using LT 98, there was a small problem, it left faint dotted shows when moving or copying, these disappear with a regen, and while annoying was not a big problem.

I have now purchased LT 2004 and a have a screen full of cursors marks. Unless you regen every time you pick a point the system is unusable.

It is helpful that I am not the only one with such a problem.

Is it confined to the Smart PC.

Have Dell found the solution yet.
