Automatic Updates are permenantly disabled please help!

I have tried trouble shooting the problem on Microsofts homepage, and done everything they told me to do.
But Automatic Updates keeps disabling itself. I can't download any security updates or anything. I've ran every

spyware-virus remover that was suggested by this site to fix any bug problems that might be stopping it and still I cant get it to turn on. Please help!!!!!!!!

Validate Windows here.

Re-register the Windows Update DLL with the commands below

Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.

Type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.

Dragonsinger18, you have malware showing in your HijackThis log, but a complete log was not posted, so that is probably why the analysts did not pick it up.
Dell will be doing some forum maintenance during the next few days. We cannot get into an ongoing cleanup and risk forum slowdowns or inaccessibility, so I have replied with a link to other malware removal help forums that will advise you on running additional tools. Check the info in your topic on the HijackThis Board, and please include the header from your log (the top section with operating system info) when you repost your log.

I'm sure once the malware is cleaned, and you've reregistered the WU dll's per PudgyOne's instructions above, you'll be in good shape.

The Vundo and fake alert entries are missing from the log you posted at SpywareHammer. Did you run an anti-malware scan, or is your updated log from another user account? With that infection, there is a chance more is hiding in there that you cannot see. I suggest that you continue with your helper at SH to look for any remnants. It would be good if you inform him of anything you have done on your own to resolve your problem.
