I've got the same problem with my new Inspiron 6400. It goes into hibernate if I leave it plugged in overnight.
I also had originally set the screen to turn off (when plugged in) after 30 minutes, and after the screen blanks, the screen won't come back on with a key press or mouse move (even though I know the system is still up)
I think my problem was possibly caused by windows automatically updating and then restarting. I haven't had the problem happen again, so I am hoping that was it. Thanks :-)
